Acupuncture to prepare for labour Dublin and Monaghan

Acupuncture is very beneficial to help the body prepare for labour. Toward the end of pregnancy the cervix begins to thin and soften and the baby moves into a lower position in the pelvis.  This is referred to as cervical ripening.  The more prepared the cervix is before labour the more likely it is that you will have an efficient labour meaning a lower likelyhood of induction and other medical interventions.

Studies show that weekly acupuncture from week 37 can shorten the time between due date and actual labour and shorten labour time.
